Client Appreciation at Topgolf: A Sunday Well Spent

At Gilday Insurance Agency, our clients mean everything to us — and getting to spend time with you outside of emails, quotes, and policy reviews is one of our favorite parts of what we do. That’s exactly why our recent Client Appreciation Event at Topgolf was such a special day for our team.

A few Sundays ago, we gathered with clients, friends, and members of our local community for an afternoon of sunshine, golf swings, and great conversation. The weather showed up for us, the vibes were relaxed, and the competition was friendly (with a few surprisingly impressive shots mixed in!).

Getting to Connect in a Different Way

One of the best parts of the afternoon was simply spending real, uninterrupted time with our clients. No ringing phones. No appointments to go over insurance. Just good conversations, laughter, and a chance to get to know each other beyond insurance policies and renewal dates.

Events like this remind us that behind every policy is a real person, a family, and a story — and we truly value those relationships.

    So Much Fun at Topgolf

Between the swings, the cheering, and the conversations between rounds, the energy at Topgolf was undeniable. We loved seeing families out together, first-time golfers giving it a try, and plenty of playful competition throughout the day. Whether it was someone lining up their perfect shot or simply soaking in the sunshine, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

    Why We Do These Events

As a local Woodinville agency, community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe insurance should feel personal — and events like this give us a chance to show our appreciation, say thank you, and continue building meaningful relationships with the people we’re honored to serve.

Our goal has always been to be more than just an insurance agency. We want to be a trusted resource and a long-term partner for our clients, through every season of life.

Thank You for Spending the Day With Us

To everyone who joined us at Topgolf: thank you for taking time out of your weekend to spend it with us. We’re incredibly grateful for your trust, your support, and the opportunity to serve you.

And if you weren’t able to attend this time — we promise more events are on the way! Be sure to follow along on our social media and website so you don’t miss the next one.

  • Supporting Local: A Fun Day at TopGolf with All Star Auto Glass

Last week, our agency had the pleasure of attending a fantastic client appreciation event hosted by All Star Auto Glass at TopGolf in Renton, WA — and we just had to share a quick recap!

Claire and her husband Erick represented our agency at the event, connecting with other industry professionals and enjoying a fun afternoon of swings, laughter, and community. Events like these are a great reminder of how lucky we are to partner with local businesses that truly value the relationships behind the work.

All Star Auto Glass went above and beyond — from great food and raffle prizes to an energy that made everyone feel welcome. It’s not every day you get to talk shop and try to land a hole-in-one in the same day!

We’re grateful to collaborate with partners who not only provide top-tier service to our clients but also go out of their way to build meaningful connections within the community. Whether it’s celebrating wins or supporting one another in business, these relationships are what make our work that much more rewarding.

A big thank you to All Star Auto Glass for including us — and TopGolf for hosting us — we’re looking forward to the next opportunity to connect and collaborate!

P.S. Seeing how much fun everyone had got us thinking…
We might just host a TopGolf event of our own in the near future!
If that’s something you’d be interested in, let us know — we’d love to hear from you!

  • 🎆Fireworks, Fun, and Fire Safety: Fourth of July Insurance Tips for Homeowners

🎆Fireworks, Fun, and Fire Safety: Fourth of July Insurance Tips for Homeowners

The Fourth of July is a time to celebrate freedom, gather with friends and family, and enjoy backyard BBQs and fireworks displays. But along with the fun comes an increased risk of accidents—especially when it comes to fire safety. Each year, thousands of firework-related fires and injuries are reported across the country, many of which could be prevented with the right precautions and protection in place.

As your local insurance agency, we want to help you enjoy a safe and worry-free Independence Day. Here are a few tips to keep your holiday celebrations covered—literally and figuratively.

🔥 1. Fireworks and Your Homeowners Insurance

If you’re lighting fireworks on your property, it’s important to know that most homeowners insurance policies do cover fire damage if it’s accidental. However, some policies may exclude claims if fireworks are illegal in your area. That’s why it’s crucial to check your city or county laws before lighting up the sky.

Pro tip: Even if you’re not setting off fireworks yourself, your home could still be at risk from neighbors’ celebrations. Having the right coverage in place ensures you’re prepared for unexpected incidents.

🍔 2. Backyard BBQs and Liability Protection

Grilling is a Fourth of July staple, but it’s also one of the top causes of outdoor fires. Keep your grill at least 10 feet away from structures, and never leave it unattended.

Hosting guests? Your liability coverage kicks in if someone is injured on your property (for example, a slip on wet grass or a burn from the grill). For added protection, consider an umbrella policy—it’s affordable and can cover gaps beyond your standard policy limits.

    🚗 3. Hosting a Party? Think Ahead

Serving alcohol? If a guest causes a car accident after leaving your party, you could be held partially liable. That’s where having proper homeowners liability coverage (and again, an umbrella policy) can offer peace of mind.

💥 4. Firework Alternatives for Safer Fun

If you’re looking for lower-risk ways to celebrate, consider:

    • Glow sticks or sparklers in a wide-open area (with water on hand!)
    • Laser light shows
    • Attending a professional fireworks display in your community

Bonus: many local shows are safer and more spectacular than backyard fireworks.

    🧨 Final Thoughts

The Fourth of July should be a time for making memories—not emergency calls. A quick review of your homeowners policy can go a long way in making sure you’re protected from fire, accidents, and liability surprises.

If you’re not sure what your policy covers—or you just want a quick review—we’re here to help. Give us a call, and we’ll make sure your coverage is as solid as your grill game.

Wishing you a fun, safe, and sparkling Fourth of July!
